July 11, 2025

Shadowverse Open 2025 - the competitive gateway to Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond - is here! We hope everyone is excited for the series of events we have planned. We’ve received a variety of questions from the community and have put together this FAQ.

What regions are allowed in SVO?

- All countries and regions where Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond can be officially downloaded via Steam, Epic Game Store, Google Play or Apple App Store are allowed to participate. The only countries/regions not allowed to join SVO are Japan, China, Korea, and Taiwan.

Are SVO tournaments region locked?

- SVO tournaments are not region locked, players from any eligible country/region can join any tournament.

What are the tournament dates?

- Please see the Tournaments page for the dates and details.

What is the tournament format and rules?

- Please see the Tournaments page for format details and links to the rulesets.

What do we need to join SVO tournaments?

- You will need your Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond account, Battlefy account, Discord account, email address, and a government issued ID.

Where do I register for tournaments?

- You can register for tournaments at our Battlefy hub.

Can players who have already qualified for WGP compete?

- Players who have already qualified for Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2025 can compete in Shadowverse Open 2025 tournaments for cash prizes, in-game prizes, and SVO Grand Finals qualification slots. If they win or achieve placement for a WGP slot, the slot will be awarded to the next highest placing player.

Is there a cap on tournaments?

- The tournament cap is 1024 players.

What if the tournament cap is reached?

- If the tournament cap is reached, we will create a waitlist for the tournament and announce when the waitlist is opened in the SVO Tournaments Discord (https://discord.gg/svotournaments).

- Please review the rulesets (https://www.svo.gg/tournaments) for the prospective tournament you wish to join for the  procedures and requirements for those who join the waitlist.

Will there be a Tournament Mode?

- Tournament Mode will be available for SVO Tournaments. You will need to submit your decks in Tournament Mode in order to participate in SVO Tournaments. All cards currently available in game will be also available in Tournament Mode, so you can submit decks that contain cards that you do not personally own.

We hope this FAQ has been helpful, and if you have any other questions please join the Shadowverse Open Tournaments Discord server and use the questions channel!
