SVO 2025 Official Season Announcement

Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond is almost here—and with it, we’re excited to finally unveil the roadmap for a bold new era of Shadowverse Open tournaments!

Shadowverse Open 2025 is your gateway to the competitive side of  Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond. Whether you're a newcomer or seasoned veteran, we’ve crafted a series of tournaments and formats that are easy for players of all skill levels to jump into.

So what’s on the line? 

The Shadowverse Open 2025 has a massive prize pool of over $30,000 USD, along with exclusive in-game rewards and the chance to travel to Singapore to compete in the live Grand Finals!

That’s not all! Shadowverse Open 2025 will have four qualification slots for the  Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2025, which offers an incredible grand prize of JPY 100,000,000!  

This is just the beginning of a thrilling new chapter for competitive Shadowverse. We can’t wait to show you what’s ahead—Shadowverse Open 2025 is almost here, and it’s time to rise to the challenge.

SVO Kickoff

SVO Kickoff is your introduction to the Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond tournaments, with a $5,000 USD prize pool, exclusive in-game prizes, and a spot at the Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2025!

  • Preliminaries: July 26 & July 27  —  Best of 1 (2 Decks). Swiss format. Players with less than 2 losses at the end of Swiss will move on to Playoffs.
  • Playoffs: August 2  —  Best of 3, No Bans, Conquest. Swiss format. Top 8 players move on to the Finals. 
  • Finals: August 3 — Best of 3, No Bans, Conquest. Single Elimination format. 
    *Players will be able to change decks between Preliminaries and Playofffs/Finals. No deck changes will happen between Playoffs and Finals.

SVO Qualifier Series

SVO Qualifier Series

SVO Qualifier Series consists of four online tournaments with a combined prize pool of $20,000 USD, along with exclusive in-game rewards, and the chance to qualify for the SVO Grand Finals. While all tournament dates are listed in UTC, each Qualifier is hosted in a different regional timezone—ensuring that players around the globe have at least one event that aligns with their local time. 

Format & Schedule:

  • Dates: August 16–17, September 6–7, September 13–14, September 27–28
  • Preliminaries: Best of 1 (2 Decks) Swiss rounds followed by Single Elimination, Best of 3, No Bans, Conquest Play-In rounds. All in Rotation.
  • Finals: 8-player Single Elimination. Best of 3, No Bans, Conquest. Rotation.
  • Advancement: Top 2 from each Qualifier advance to SVO Grand Finals.
    *Players will not be able to change decks between Preliminaries Swiss rounds and Play-In rounds. Players will use the same 2 decks throughout 2 days.

SVO Grand Finals

The culminating offline event will take place live in Singapore, where the top eight players from the Qualifier Series will battle it out for a $10,000 USD prize pool—and, more importantly, two coveted spots at the Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2025.

Format & Schedule:

  • Dates: October 25 & 26 — 8-player Double Elimination bracket.
  • Format: Best of 3, No Bans, Conquest. Rotation.

SVO LCQ

This is your final chance to qualify for the Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2025, with both the Preliminaries and Finals taking place in November. It’s a winner-takes-all showdown for the last remaining WGP slot—so bring your A-game and leave it all on the battlefield!

Format & Schedule:

  • Preliminaries: November 15 & 16 — Best of 1 (2 Decks), Swiss format. Players with less than 2 losses at the end of Swiss will move on to Playoffs.
  • Playoffs: November 22 — Best of 3, No Bans, Conquest. Swiss format. Top 8 players move on to the Finals. 
  • Finals: November 23 — Best of 3, No Bans, Conquest. Single Elimination format. 
    *Players will be able to change decks between Preliminaries and Playofffs/Finals. No deck changes will happen between Playoffs and Finals.
